We Value People.
People matter to God:
We believe people matter to God, therefore, they matter to us. God has demonstrated the high value He places on people when He gave His very best, His son, to provide the gift of salvation. Our mandate at the Solid Rock is to take the good News to our community and the rest of the world so we can help people establish relationship with Jesus Christ, so they in turn can effect Life change in their community and the World. (John 3:16, Luke 15:7)
We Value application of Scripture.
Teaching is for Life-Change, not just information:
We believe the bible is God’s word to our world. We will live and practice the life changing principles in it so that we will be a living visible demonstration of the Kingdom of God. God gave us His word in order to equip us and change us for his glory and for our benefit. (James 1:22-25, Psalm 119:11)
We Value Service.
Every member a minister.
We believe you have been equipped with gifts and talents so that you can inspire life change in others for Jesus Christ. We will encourage everyone to use their gifts abd talents in service to our church, community and world.
We Value Creative Relevance.
Although the methods will change, our message will not.
We believe we have been equipped with gifts and passions so that we can cause life change in others for Jesus Christ. We will encourage all people to use their gifts and talents to show God’s love to one another in our church, our community and our world (Ephesians 4:11-13, Rom 12:6-8)
We Value Authentic Community.
Life change happens best in cell (community) groups.
Authentic community is openness with others about our strengths and weaknesses in a small group setting. We believe that life change and spiritual growth are best fostered in a community or cell group. We will encourage everyone who comes to the Solid Rock to become connected to a cell group so that they too can participate and experience life change. (Acts 2:44-47)
